Introduction
It is very important that we have the current rates that you pay your electricity supplier. We use this information to calculate when is the best time to charge your battery.
Some suppliers have signed up with an organisation that enables us to access this data directly from your supplier with your consent. If your supplier is not part of this agreement, or if you would prefer not to link your accounts, you can input your rates manually.
Process
- Log into our app and select the Profile section (circled red in the image below).
- Select "Update rates".
- Select "Add import".
- Select your electricity supplier from the list.
- If your electricity supplier is partnered with the tariff sharing organisation, a screen similar to this will be presented. If not, please proceed to step 10.
- Enter the login details for your electricity supplier account if you are happy to link your account. We can only access your tariff information, no other details of your electricity supplier account are shared with Levelise.
- Enter your tariff end date (if you are on a fixed term tariff) and select "Save" on the tariff summary screen.
- It may take up to a few hours, but your rates will be visible within the Rates section of the Dashboard of our app.
- If you ever change supplier, please repeat this process for your new tariff with your new supplier.
- If it isn't possible to link your electricity supplier account within our app, you will be presented with the manual rate entry screens.
- Select whether you have a Standard tariff (all of your usage is billed at the same rate) or if you have a Dual rate traiff (you pay a different rate depending on the time of day). If you have more than 2 different rates, please email your tariff information to support@levelise.com and we will set your rates up for you.
- Enter the rates, including VAT, that you pay for your electricity. If you are on a standard rate, the screen will be a little simpler. If you have a dual rate tariff, enter the rate you pay for the majority of the day in Main rate. Enter the other rate and input the times of the day this is valid for. Then select "Continue".
- Enter your standing charge. Select "Continue".
- Enter your tariff end date if applicable and select "Continue". If your tariff does not have an end date, select "Skip".
- A summary of the details you entered will be displayed. Please ignore "Tariff name" as this is not used currently. If you have a dual rate tariff, the rates will not be displayed, instead it will just state "Variable rate". If the details are correct, select "Save", otherwise edit the details.
- Your rates will be visible within the Rates section of the Dashboard of our app.
- If you change your tariff or your supplier, please repeat this process with the new details.
