Levelise are not able to offer a SEG tariff, even though we do pay you for Grid Services (which does not impact your SEG (smart export guarantee) or FIT (Feed in tariff) entitlement).
First thing to do, is decide who you would like to supply your export tariff, you can do this by either following this OFGEM link, which will show you the companies that provide this tariff, or contact your existing supplier who might offer one. In most cases the tariff you can obtain is improved if you are with the same company for your imported energy.
Once you have decided which company you would like to sign up with, you will need to contact them directly and ask them to set you up with an account. They may send you some paperwork that will need to be filled out and sent back to them.
They may ask you for an Export reading which can be taken directly from your electricity meter, a copy of your MCS (Microgeneration Certificate Scheme) certificate (this is not required if you have chosen Octopus as your preferred SEG provider) and/or a copy of your G98/99 (DNO - Distribution Network Operator approval) form.
If you need your MCS certificate or your G98/99 form and you no longer hold a copy of this, you will need to contact your system installer who may be able to help.
If they didn't register your system at installation or your installer is no longer in business, you may be able to contact MCS directly for a copy of this certificate (this will be for a nominal fee). Levelise do not hold a copy of this information.
