Introduction
This article explains how to reset a Duracell or BYD battery if you are experiencing an issue with it. Click here to identify your battery type.
Safety
Please only proceed with this process if you feel comfortable and safe to do so. We can arrange for an engineer to do this for you, but this visit will be chargeable.
Process
Step 1
Locate the power button at the top right-hand side of the battery.
Step 2
Hold down the power button for 10 seconds until the white light around the button goes off.
Step 3
Go to the Social Energy Hub and remove the small cover using the thumb screw to release.
Step 4
Turn off the left-hand Battery MCB by flicking into the down position.
Your hub may have a double MCB for the battery or just a single one.
Wait for 1 minute then turn the MCB back on.
Replace the cover.
Step 5
Return to the battery and if it hasn't automatically restarted (this would be indicated by a white light around the power button) re-energise it by holding down the power button for 10 seconds until the white light around the button turns on.
Step 6
If the Remote button is not illuminated, press and hold the remote button until the illumination on the local button goes out (this takes about 6 seconds). When you release the remote button it should be illuminated.
Step 7
Please email support@levelise.com to let us know you have completed this process. We can then check if it has resolved the issue.
